Considered one of Italy’s star grapes, Aglianico produces wines that are favored by those seeking earth-driven still reds. The nose opens up to a bouquet of ripe red fruits like cherry and strawberry, with savory notes of cigar box, licorice, coffee and mint. The palate demonstrates terroir with deep minerality, earth and spices highlighted by structured tannins. This wine pairs well with mature cheeses, lamb and beef, and red sauce pasta dishes.
